Thanks to everyone who texted, emailed, Tweeted, Facebooked, Four-squared(?), sky-wrote, smoke-signaled birthday wishes to Noah. We are in NH and yesterday Noah had a nice, little party (in the rain) with his NH family. Photos coming soon(ish).

On the way back from Long Island the other weekend (see here) we stopped by to see Jerry and Amanda’s newish place, with it’s fancy elevator…

…and fancy long hallways…

…fancy advice on their column…

…and fancy tall mirrors that make vain little boys kiss themselves (the tape on the floor is to measure off a second bedroom they are having built.. fancy..).

Not a great crop or photo, but it isn’t often that Noah rides a giant smoking bunny.

Luna!

We left a messy mark on the chalkboard column for Noah.

Then everyone want back to our apt. so Noah could go to sleep. Our building isn’t as fancy, but there was a giant Batman in the trash. That count for anything?

Nate came over too for an spontaneous meeting of the Brooklyn branch of the noahholt.com/blog fan club, apologies to those that could not attend.

Bus!

More buses!

Running!

The container holding the pickles leaked vinegar! Yeah! Family fun times!

All this happened in Red Hook on Friday where we met up with Julia, Benoit, and Louis for dinner.

See it?? In those boxes is one of those precious things that makes the heat of Summer a lot more tolerable.

Lobster!

Benoit traumatizing Louis.

Noah poking my lobster in the eye.

So good.

Come on!?! Whoopie pies!?!?!? Amazing.

You don’t have to be from New England, or be Nana Holt to love Whoopie pies.

And like that it was done. A little piece of New England, 15 minutes from our apartment.

Peace Louis. Let’s do this again soon.

Our neighbors.

Tim, Ladonna, Chris, and Miles belong to a (not so) secret, private (unless you pay dues), and luxurious (if your thing is used toddler toys) park around the corner (if you don’t count a few corners) from their apt. in Sunnyside, Queens. They said if we met up with them the other weekend that they could get us in. We wasted no time getting there, and tried to make sure Noah looked his best.

Miles was having a hard time waking up from his nap.

Chris.

More Chris.

Noah trying to jack Miles’ whip.

Pretend subway car.

Umm..

Nasty.

Tim helped put this bench in the ground. Seriously.

O.F.W. (Out of Focus but Whateves)

Big up them Sunnyside kids for helping us get through the velvet rope, background check, and bouncers to get in. Psyched to go back.
