In Observance Of MLK’s Birthday

About 2 weeks ago…  No school.  Martin Luther King Jr. Day made it “daddy day care” day.  Starring,

A collaborative creation.

Insert one bus ride and BAM! The Brooklyn Children’s Museum.

We met up with Savannah and Derby, and Chester, and Chester’s friend Paxton at the museum…  It was going to be great.  Noah could run around and play…

Or just be shy for a while…

I brought him over to a section where he could make music.

Once he found the DJ booth he was fine.

There was some great fashion at the museum too.  Like this one piece jumper (overalls?) a girl with short straight bangs was wearing.

Noah liked the dirt, Savannah liked the dolls.

Chester!

Yes Noah, that was a little boy with a pony tail on top of his head.

Modeling for a photographer from The Daily News.

The “auspicious one” as seen through a peep hole.

It was time to go and  Savannah was having a hard time saying good bye to a doll she found.

On the walk home, Noah was over hearing all of us talk I guess.

Thanks to Aransas (Savannah’s mom) for inviting us out and showing up like a champ with lunch for everyone.

I don’t know if it’s because of his short little legs, or if he isn’t into stairs, but every day he takes the wheelchair ramp from the play room to his cubby.  Screaming and running and flapping the whole time.  Every day.

The class fish.

You never know when it will be time for a life lesson.  Saturday, on the way to a playground, we spent some time talking about shadows.

Then Noah spent some time beating up his shadow (and leaves) with a stick.

Isaac!

My life.

Isaac asked his Mom (who is due in Feb.) to go down the slide with him.

When it was time to eat a sandwich, Noah asked Kate to put out the picnic blanket.

Some more scenes from day care.  This is a school bus to help the kids learn each others names.

A detail of Lil’ Dude.

Noah called this piece, “This People”.

A visit to The Prospect Park Zoo.

Looking at the black swans, chewing on the fence.

Red panda’s.

Serious lampin’.

Two sided shove match for the frogs.

Noah’s probably thinking, “Wait until I tell Nana that I saw all these animals”.  I was thinking, “Wait until Grampa finds out we paid money to go into a barn…”

This fountain near us is popular for wedding photos, but this is impressive.  There are 4 brides in this photo.

Good ole Brooklyn Zoo.
