Noah Cardiel Holt | My life according to other people

Noah had his (almost) one month check up today, and he’s growing well.

Last check up he was 7 lbs 14 oz, and in 2 weeks he’s gained a whole pound.  He now weighs in at 8 lbs 14 oz, is 21 1/2 inches long, and is in great health.

Next check up will be in a month.

(I catch myself putting exclamation points in every post title.)

There is so much to read, so much to watch, so many people to listen to, so many instincts to follow.  Somewhere in all of the advice we digested, we disregarded pacifiers as lazy, as a gimmick, or as confusing for Noah, then we felt like we were running out of options one night and decided to give a pacifier a try.  It was a dream remedy, until in the past couple days when he started getting gassy.  Now nothing can soothe him again, but at least there is one more thing to clean.

Have any gas relieving remedies?

I dropped Auntie Mindy off at the airport this morning.  It was a really quick 48 hours, but it was great while it lasted.

Auntie Mindy came up from Charlotte, NC for the weekend to meet Noah.  She said we could keep him.

We took a walk up to see the Deaners.  Julian was chilling in his mini jungle…

..and watching the Ohio State vs. USC game.
