Furniture and flirting

Chilling, Eating, Shopping 3 Comments »

Saturday morning we went shopping for a few things, but then I saw a twinkle in Kate’s eye.  I’m worried about what project she is scheming up in her head.  I think it involves more counter space in the kitchen.

Lunch in Red Hook at a spot owned by someone Kate went to school with.

There was a little girl there and Noah was flirting with.  He hugged her twice (Kate says they hugged four times), both (all) times I missed it.

The Muffletta sandwich.

Noah is really into spoons lately, and he’s getting pretty good at using ’em.  Don’t be fooled by this flick though, I still think he’s right-handed.

Afternooning

Our story left off with our hero hungry and needing a nap.  After eating and getting horizontal it was back outside, this time to Prospect Park.  After the weather of the weekend before, both the park and people in it were crazy.  Kids climbing on fallen trees with parents who were out of practice at wrangling their kids in an open space.

Cozy.

Noah’s friend Savannah stop by with her parents Aransas and Andy.

Alright..  warning.  Pretty sappy stuff right here.  Ring-around-the-rosie…  cute..  I know Noah’s uncles are pretty tough though, so I’ll give them this to think about instead.

Claim:  Ring around the rosie is a coded reference to the Black Plague.

Tough love.

Spies, and the bikini’s weren’t even out yet.

Thanks to Savannah and her parents for meeting up with us.

Morningness

While Kate went to Yoga, Noah and I hooked up a new soccer ball for him so he wouldn’t have to chase after other kids for one.

While we waited our turn for some space on the astro-turf field by our apt. we shook some snot out of Noah’s head on the swing.

Making friends with a girl blowing bubbles on the other side of the fence.

A game of peek-a-boo (Noah’s favorite game lately) turned into a not so fun game of I need a nap (a-boo?) / feed me.

The soccer ball would wait.

Linner (late lunch, early dinner)

Chilling, Eating, Grandparents, Uncle Matt (Uncle Bugs) Comments Off on Linner (late lunch, early dinner)

Noah’s Uncle Matt was in town to pick up some furniture for his new apartment out on Long Island, and he was able to fit us in for a quick bite to eat before he hit the road to go back east.

Noah had no problem eating early.

Good to see you Matt.  Hopefully we’ll get out to see your new place soon.
