The bikes were downstairs and Noah’s had his magnifying glass ready. Now to decide where to go.

Not sure why we try to decide, we always end up in Prospect Park. This time, we went looking for bugs on the south side.

Impressive tree repairs.

Found scene.

Searching for more things to look at with the magnifying glass.

Deciding this trail was getting sketchy.

Seeing what he can from here.

Ridiculous algae in the water near the Audubon Center.

Lunch for Noah.

In the Audubon Center.

Hissing cockroaches.

Giddy up.

Mother’s Day with The Urban’s

On Sunday afternoon, before heading out to Emmett and Lisa’s, we wished Nana Holt a Happy Mother’s Day via video conference.

After a quick nap on the drive out, Noah had some business to take care.

In other news, Noah and I came up with a new nickname for Uncle Matt. We are calling him “Uncle Bugs” (he works for the USDA looking for microscopic insects in potato fields). Here Noah is asking Uncle Bugs about this dead bee he found.

Opa got dragged into bug hunting.

A gift (for Noah) from Aunt Lisa.

While we were celebrating Mother’s Day, why not celebrate some birthdays too.

Thanks for having us all over Emmett and Lisa, and thanks to everyone for the great birthday gifts and cards.

Last Monday Noah, Kate, and Nana T. went to the Central Park Zoo. I wasn’t there, so I can’t really give you captions, but here are the flicks that I stole from Kate’s phone.

Last Saturday we geared up to hike (in the slush and snow) over to see Jerry and Amanda.  Amanda is due any day now, so we wanted to give them a little taste of why it’s not worth it… I’m kidding.. (ish).

Amanda, this is what it’s like getting ready.

Lil’ shy dude.

Kate and Amanda talked about the lastest in parenting books, and Noah drew on some paper, and played with some toys.

Jerry and I hid behind our camera’s and talked about how we were going to take over the world.

Then it was time to go. Noah put his coat on, I mean… got back in the backpack.

One last look at that belly before it’s gone.

Here’s a random photo for you to look at while you think about how wonderful it is that a new life will be coming into the world.
