Beachy

Last Sunday, after lunch, we walked down to the beach with Uncle Bugs.

I forgot to pack a bib for Noah so we improvised.

Good thing we improvised.

Saying thank you and good bye to Uncle Bugs for a great weekend.

Sunday morning, waking up Uncle Bug’s house.

The twins.. taking it all in…

…while Noah and I made tracks to jump Uncle Bug’s strange collection of toys.

If you ask Noah, his favorite animal is a water buffalo and there is no telling him that this isn’t/wasn’t one.

Lunch for Noah.

Back at Uncle Bugs’ house Kate wanted to have a picnic in his backyard.

After lunch we went to the beach…

4th of July

We started out our 4th of July with some well dressed girls.

Noah, not as appropriately dressed…

..but he was down to smash sand castles.

After lunch and a nap, we met up with Jerry, Amanda, and Mae.

Lazy times. Maybe we’ll stay up and see some fireworks next year. Maybe not.

Summer. Is. Burning. Me. Up.

Last Saturday, with the sun blazing and Noah’s new found interested in water sprinklers, we thought it might be a good idea to go to the newly renovated Pier 6 and see if Noah would be into the water section. Last time I was there was with Uncle Gerry and Aunt Paula (Here).

Our tangled mess of helmets and bikes.

Trying to hype Noah up.

I need to get Noah a new bathing suit. Those shorts are 6-9 months… and that shirt is getting a little risque.

The first spot I suggested was a little intense.

Lunch.. Nap.. Back on the bikes and off to Red Hook in search of lobsters with Ryan, Ellen, and their new neighbors Nuno (pulling daughter Amalia) and Munsun (hidden behind Ellen).

Noah and Ryan bummed to learn that all of the lobsters were spoken for. We would be eating burgers instead.

Noah deciding which of his cars to share.

Good day.

Bikes, bugs, baby swans, and bad titles.

The bikes were downstairs and Noah’s had his magnifying glass ready. Now to decide where to go.

Not sure why we try to decide, we always end up in Prospect Park. This time, we went looking for bugs on the south side.

Impressive tree repairs.

Found scene.

Searching for more things to look at with the magnifying glass.

Deciding this trail was getting sketchy.

Seeing what he can from here.
