New Year’s Day after naps
Chilling, Exploring, Friends, Holidays Comments Off on New Year’s Day after napsRested, we met up with The Charests at Bass Pro Shop in what has maybe become some kind of weird New Year’s Day tradition.
Introducing the newest Charest, (a blurry, and possibly burping) Tyler.
Benjamin and a giant fish.
Then I got frisked by a cop…
…then Kate and Noah got stuck in a cave…
…and a GIANT BEAR!!
…nevermind…
There was a sketchy dude lurking about.
Dinner was… fun. No, I mean it.
After dinner we thanked The Charests for chilling with us and cruised back to PVD for some glow sticks before bed.
Last Saturday we decided to get a Christmas tree. Even though we won’t be here for Christmas Day, the apartment beautification committee agreed that it could brighten the mood of around here. First stop was Grand Army Plaza, and right away I saw a perfectly good tree.
But it was “too big”.
Then I thought Kate was getting creative. You know, thinking outside the box with some kind of spinach tree, but she had just roped me into some regular type shopping.
Crafty neighbors.
This one is already decorated! Bonus!
We could make our own tree for $0.
No decisions made.
A day after stuffing ourselves with Turkey, we took it easy.
KABOOM! We went to the Transit Museum!
Nap time.
You never know when it will be time for a life lesson. Saturday, on the way to a playground, we spent some time talking about shadows.
Then Noah spent some time beating up his shadow (and leaves) with a stick.
Isaac!
My life.
Isaac asked his Mom (who is due in Feb.) to go down the slide with him.
When it was time to eat a sandwich, Noah asked Kate to put out the picnic blanket.
Isaac giving Noah dessert.
