The other weekend we packed into the car with Nathan and Geneva and trekked up to Tuthilltown Distillery for a little tour and tasting.

I think it was as I shot this flick that Noah realized that this “tour” was going to be super boring for him.

So he played a little game of parent-pong, being passed between Kate and I as we took turns taking him outside to run around.

Even climbing on the barrels was boring.

After lunch, some apple and pumpkin picking at Tantillo’s Farm as people fell from the sky.

More people jumping from perfectly good planes.

Geneva and Noah hunting ladybugs.

Sorry Nate, I wasn’t trying to edit your face out of this post… but I gotta go with the gems. You know?
Thanks to Nathan and Geneva for planning the trip!

Stopping by to see Opa (and Nana) before we run off to Ikea.

Noah laughing at me because we went to Ikea to get all kind of stuff to outfit my office, but left empty handed. Typical.

Post-nap-bike-ride-zoo-meet-up with Benoit, Julia, and Louis.

Model citizen.

Turtle boys.

Right before this photo, I was holding Noah’s hands so he could jump onto a fake lily pad, and instead he jumped right into the water. I lost parenting-points with Kate (I’m now in negative numbers) and Noah got some wet feet.

Noah and Louis playing around with the gate to the tiger cage.

Noah pretending to run into the tiger cage.

Kate catching Noah as he runs into the tiger cage.

Just kidding…Â There aren’t any tigers.
Using the sunset to dry Noah’s shoes.

Post bath.

A couple weeks back we had a pretty powerful storm, which may or may not have include a tornado. I was out in it, on my way to pick up Lil’ Dude, and had to take cover even though I had an umbrella and rain jacket on.
A few days after the storm we were on our usual weekend routine of walking to the playground to play when we started to see fallen trees everywhere. Even some important shade-bearing trees at the playground took a hit.

The playground, with half of it blocked off by the fallen trees, was pretty busy so we went to see what other damage we could find.

Big job cleaning up for this dude with only a little saw.

Luckily our apt., car, friends, family, bikes, skateboards, snowboards, and tv all survived the storm unscathed.

Noah had a pancake.

After we walked across the street to check out an antique store.

Noah made friends with a butler.

Then we stopped to see Noah’s Nana at work.

Then a nap and some tickles from Grampa.

Rain, rain.. going away.
