Thanksgiving Day Dinner with the Urban clan, Dan (who is staying with them while he is in a play on Broadway), Jan (Dan’s wife), Nathan, and Owen.

Opa carving the turkey in his fathers apron.

Mom doing an awkward “cheers” with Noah’s Aunt Lisa and Uncle Matt

(Cousin?) Angus.

Uncle Emmett.

Everyone waiting for me to put on music…

Noah waking up from a nap.

Some post nap love from everyone. First Nana.

Then Aunt Lisa.

Then Uncle Emmett.

Then Nathan.

Then more love from Uncle Emmett…

Then awkward bottle feeding.

Then it’s time to go home and sleep all this love off.

Thanks to Nana and Opa for going all out and cooking a perfect Thanksgiving meal.

Noah weighs 20 lbs. 13 oz. (up from 18 lbs. 6 oz. 3 months ago), is 30.5 inches tall, and the pediatricians office got some great new toys.

Noah’s bib matches the sky outside.

This visit to the doctor wasn’t as fun though. Mainly because Kate (Mom) was at work so she couldn’t join us, but also because Noah wasn’t into it. Last time we visited he loved playing with the paper on the table where they weigh him, this time he just wanted out.

Not even the mirror could distract him.

So Noah sat in my lap for the entire examination, which made it tough to take photos, but he did just fine and even managed to get a lollipop out of the whole deal.

We got a call from Nana Holt yesterday morning.

Monday is going to be Grampa Holt’s last day of radiation. Everything is looking good and there are only a few more weeks left of chemo treatments. We are all excited for him to be finished, and everything is looking great.

Meanwhile Mom (Kate) was in the kitchen getting her haircut.

Noah’s Opa Urban (Grandfather) always talks about making babies sleep in drawers. Not really sure why. I guess that’s what they did in the old country.

At least when Noah is home and he tries to sleep on the floor he gets a pillow(ish).

Every year the Brooklyn Botanic Garden puts on a pre-Halloween party for the kids. They can make masks, listen to music, ride (sit on) fake animals, and try on big paper maché costumes.
I have to admit that this was my first time going to the Botanic Garden. I know.. I’ve lived in NY for over a decade now, but I just never made it. Kate tried to spend every Tuesday here with other moms (because it was free) so she was a pro. She didn’t even need my help down these stairs.

Some questionable “off-roading”.

They sure like labeling things, even rocks.

Making a shaker out of a plastic egg and your choice of dried seeds and beans.

Gotta tape that egg closed so the seeds don’t fall out if Noah drops it…

..or throws it.

Lunch at a spot were we can watch the Patriots game.
