What’s Memorial Day without a BBQ?Friends, Holidays, Partying Comments Off on What’s Memorial Day without a BBQ?Answer: “Monday”. Ryan and Ellen invited us downstairs for a BBQ with friends. Lou tried to teach Noah how to play Trouble, Star Wars Edition. Ryan’s Brother Billy and his oldest daughter Scarlett. Noah and Rory (Scarlett’s sister). One of two pregnant women at the BBQ learning how gross little boys who eat rocks can be. Two pictures stitched together to show Billy trying to rescue a paratrooper caught in a tree. Thanks Ryan and Ellen!

Memorial Day morning bike rideEating, Exercise, Gear, Holidays Comments Off on Memorial Day morning bike rideThe morning of Memorial Day we geared up and took a ride to see what’s up in Red Hook. Noah’s first day in flip-flops. The Statue of Liberty from a Red Hook pier. Someday we’ll get your helmet to fit right Noah. Heat. Sculpture as playground. We stopped by Fort Defiance for lunch. Fort Defiance is “operated (and its bar is tended) by St. John Frizell” who went to Tulane with Kate (Mom). Noah’s down for the yogurt. St. John Frizell.

RiverheadAunt Lisa, Family, Grandparents, Holidays, Partying, Sleep, Uncle Emmett, Uncle Matt (Uncle Bugs), Uncle Tim 2 Comments »On Saturday the whole Urban clan drove out to (Noah’s Uncle) Matt’s house. The party was a mix of nice-to-see-you, how-was-your-birthday, here-is-your-christmas-present, my-isn’t-the-weather-lovely, Happy-Mothers-Day!! Good times. Noah started the party right by smacking his face on the pavement. The bruise on Noah’s face was better than the cut on Matt’s hand. The night before he kept washing (on accident) a glass that had just shattered. Chilling with Uncle Tim. Admiring Matt’s odd toy collection. Tim missed Christmas, so when it got cold Emmett gave him his gifts. Insert me into this photo somewhere. Thanks for having us out Matt!! And thanks to everyone for the birthday cards and gifts.

Nana and Opa Urban deserted the family for Easter, choosing to spend their time in Europe.. Fancy. Luckily Kate’s cousin Carolyn and Aunt Diana had us up to their Bronx compound for some festivities. Noah’s Uncle Tim and I got right to shaving up horseradish, which I volunteered for too quickly.  Never rush to burn out your sinuses. You can see Tim trying to catch his breath. (Photo by Kate. Not my sippy cup) Victoria and Michelle showed Noah around. Personalized eggs, fistful’s of bread… and a big bowl of horseradish. Noah after getting a good whiff. After eating we took a trip to a nearby park. Noah took the long way by walking into every driveway. Cars on I-95. The park was lawless so we had to break out. Victoria, Jessica, and I waiting for dessert. Thanks to the Bronx fam. for having us!!
