Chris’ Birthday

Last Saturday Noah and I went to City Ice Pavilion in Long Island City for Chris’ Birthday Party.

Chris and his friends.

I wore my special ice skating tights, to help me jump higher.

Miles brought some friends too.

Noah wasn’t into the skates at all, and it took a lot of coaxing. Our first go was pretty wobbly so we took a break and had some lunch.

With renewed strength, lil’ dude was a little more adventurous. Tim skated with him so I could get some flicks.

Cake time.

Patience.

After cake we went back to the rink and Noah, hopped up on sugar, kept pushing my hands away as I tried to skate with him. With my hands free, I couldn’t help but take some flicks with my phone…

…and a quick vid, before/as I got yelled at.

Happy Birthday Chris! Thanks for inviting us!

Spending some quality time with Nana and Grampa Holt before they drove back to NH the other weekend.

Puppet show.

Encouraged, Noah did an encore.

Always great to see Nana and Grampa, always sad to see them go.

After The Musuem of Natural History, and one failed attempt at a nap, Noah joined us to watch some baseball.

A little Yo Gabba Gabba with Nana.

Noah took our picture. He was pretty bossy about posing us. “Come up”, “Go back”, “Not you Daddy”.

We celebrated the Red Sox win by going to get some groceries…

…in the rain.

45-3

“Biggest game of the year” last night.  Pats took it, 45-3.  We celebrated by sending Noah to day care in his jersey this morning.

One more photo…  in celebration.

…and maybe one more, because I might have chased Noah around the apartment trying to get photos.  Maybe.

Go Pats!

Runners

Joshua on Marathon Sunday.  His father and 2 older brothers were on the other side of the Verrazano Bride, getting ready to walk/run 26.2 miles.  I’m not judging, I’m just reporting the facts.

When Joshua left to head back to RI we walked to the most industrial and desolate place we could find to meet Derby for the first time!

It was business as usual for these two.

“I don’t see what all the fuss it about.”

Savannah went to swim class, we went to watch people run.

After Noah took a nap, we walked back over to meet Derby a second time.

Kate and I both had a cold so we didn’t want to hold Derby, not to mention friends and family were there and we didn’t want to get in the way.  Better pictures coming soon, you got my word on it.

Stay tuned.
