Noah Cardiel Holt | My life according to other people
The early days of Noah Cardiel Holt
Nov 22 2009
We got a call from Nana Holt yesterday morning. Monday is going to be Grampa Holt’s last day of radiation. Everything is looking good and there are only a few more weeks left of chemo treatments. We are all excited for him to be finished, and everything is looking great. Meanwhile Mom (Kate) was in the kitchen getting her haircut.

There’s an on going debate about when Noah can get his first 4 wheeler. My dad is ready to get him on one now, but Kate is pretty skeptical and thinks Noah might need to be “double digits” first. When we were up in NH for Noah’s birthday party my cousin Kevin came over with his two sons Dillon and Zack. Dillon who is 5 drove his own 4 wheeler a few miles to get to my parents house. Noah checking it out. “Is this how you start it Grampa?” This is where Dillon realizes that Noah is definitely going to steal this thing, “Brooklyn style”. Might be time to rethink those age restrictions Kate, everyone’s got a 4 wheeler now it’s no big deal.

Yesterday Kate gave us an excuse to try out Noah’s new bike seat by making us dinner for the park. Noah seemed to enjoy it, once he got over wearing his new bike helmet. The new helmet is a great fit. There were dudes there looking Rastafarian, flying kites with Jamaican colors, and burning incense. They looked relaxed. Kate and I had pulled pork with a salad of beans (from Uncle Wayne’s garden) and fresh tomatoes. Noah had plums and black beans. Two girls and a dog walked through the lawn and close by us. Noah waved, blew them kisses, and then got aggressive and tried to chase them down.
